Carabine Fund for Iraqi Children

The Carabine Fund for Iraqi Children has been established to
provide help and support to children across Iraq. Children who have
lost family members, who no longer go to school because the schools
no longer exist or the teachers have left, who are suffering from
overwhelming sadness and poverty through loss of parents or lack of
jobs for caregivers. Apparently soccer balls are the most highly
desired item among Iraqi kids. The Fund is collecting donations and
putting together care packages to send out for distribution among
local children and schools. My neighbor, Capt Conlon Carabine, is
currently embedded as part of a Marine Transition Team with a
battalion of Iraqi army. The items sent to Iraq for the children
will be distributed throughout the Al Anbar province through this
contact. Regardless of your feelings towards this war, these
children are the unwilling victims.
